The Professors passion for "The Science of Deceit" started here...

Employed by the Ministry (in a covert capacity) to help introduce the law ending dishonest politics, you can see his hand all over the posts of past.

Current political circumstances have forced him to reveal himself and as we speak, MPs are signing up to re-introduce The Elected Representatives (Prohibition of Deception) Bill for debate with over 80,000 voters supporting them.

Posts before Jan '08 are purely for the record (with hindsight they make fascinating reading). Posts after May 13th mark the Professor's return.

Quote of the Week update

“Mine is the first generation able to contemplate the possibility that we may live our entire lives without going to war or sending our children to war.”

the Rt. Hon. Tony Blair MP
NATO-Russia Summit, May 27, 1997

Puts Friday's quote into perspective. Hat-tip to Ms Sankey for pointing it out.

  2. Do you not think that the quote is quite ironic? Tony Blair has chosen to accept the position of PM and so he has an awful lot of responsibility..if he makes decisions most of the country disagrees with then he can be criticised & should be criticised

  3. Quite poignant, really : (

  4. I wonder what motivated him to say that... Did he really believe in 1997 that Britain would never again be at war? Or did he just think it would make a good soundbite?

errrrmmmm. didn't think you had to hate someone to remind them what they said a while ago wasn't exactly on the money. Don't make this personal.
